Bryan Veldkamp is a Dutch graphic designer based in the Netherlands. Working for companies and agencies making brands live up to their full potential. As a small digital startup, Gamious gave me the opportunity to work on my experience in the process of a small game development project. During my time working at Gamious I was involved on a small flash based game focused around water physics as its primary gameplay feature. My role revolved around creating a specific graphical style for all the graphics of the game.

After graduating from the HAN University I decided I wanted to set up my own company. Together with a fellow graduate, we were able to create a number of websites in which my role was focused on web design, graphical input and conceptual tasks creating new websites for smaller businesses and organizations.

This was my first experience in a professional environment. I was able to learn a foreign language (German), understand corporate culture and get accustomed to living in a foreign country. My role involved creating a concept for an User Interface for an upcoming browsergame targeted to a primarily female demographic. My graduation thesis, which I’ve written while I was there, comprised a 164 paged account of my research, experiences and designs I’ve made.
